NASEMSO Contributes Report of its Activities on Response to the Opoid Epidemic for May 3 NSA Roundtable

The winners of this year’s EMS10: Innovators in EMS awards were announced today following a closed formal presentation on Feb. 20, 2018, at an exclusive banquet, hosted as part of EMS Today 2018 in Charlotte, NC. NASEMSO Joins the Road to Zero in Releasing Proposed Framework for Eliminating Deaths by 2020

NASEMSO – as a member of the Road to Zero Coalition and its Steering Group, managed by the National Safety Council – released a comprehensive report, “The Road to Zero: A Vision for Achieving Zero Roadway Deaths by 2050,” explicitly laying out strategies for ending all roadway deaths in the United States by 2050. It is the first time in the nation’s history that so many organizations – more than 600 – have collaborated to put forth a comprehensive plan to address motor vehicle fatalities, which have been increasing after years of decline. The report is released in the midst of a national discussion about infrastructure and the need to rebuild our nation’s transportation systems. Learn more.

GHSA releases updated “Guide for Effectively Partnering with State Highway Safety Offices”

The Governors Highway Safety Association is pleased to release the April 2018 edition of its Guide for Effectively Partnering with State Highway Safety Offices. First published in 2004, this comprehensive update builds upon the original document to help organizations identify how they can best collaborate with State Highway Safety Offices (SHSOs). The guide includes: a checklist for successfully partnering with SHSOs; case studies of innovative state partnerships; an overview of the ins and outs of how SHSOs work; and tips for executing both funded and non-funded partnerships.

Rob Wagoner Recognized with 2017 Rocco V. Morando Lifetime Achievement Award
