Education

Overview

The NASEMSO Education Council serves as a resource for state EMS officials that are tasked to implement the consensus-based approach to EMS education described in the EMS Education Agenda for the Future: A Systems Approach published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in 2000, as revised by the National EMS Advisory Council in 2014.

Mission/Vision

The purpose of the Education Committee is to establish a system of EMS education that more closely parallels that of other health care professions while providing resources to advise states on matters related to EMS education, certification, continuing education, and program credentialing.
