Specialty Systems of Care (SSoC) Committee

Committee Overview

The SSoC Committee discusses issues and shares state information resources involving system integration, coordination of assets, evidence that support practice/destination decisions, and special EMS education and competencies. Standards of care are available in some states through an accreditation process and facility inspections are conducted for compliance to standards. The committee’s priority focus is on systems of care for time sensitive emergencies where quantifiable evidence is already available, such as STEMI and stroke.
