Details & Past Abstract Winners

The NASEMSO Abstracts competition fosters EMS system research and performance improvement in state offices of EMS.

Eligible Participants: A member of a state EMS office must be a listed author (includes EMSC staff and medical directors).

Topics/Components: Abstracts must include an introduction, objective(s), methods, results, and a conclusion for a system performance improvement topic or epidemiological study related to EMS.

Judging Criteria: Authors’ ability to describe, analyze, intervene, measure, and implement their idea into the state system. Complexity and potential impact of the research also considered.

Abstract Format: Submit in abstract format, up to two pages, 12-point font, Times New Roman, 0.5” margins.

Poster Display: Entrants are expected to display posters summarizing their work. Poster size: 24” by 36”.

Submission deadline: April 11, 2025
