NASEMSO Councils

For state and territorial EMS data leaders.

The Data Managers Council (DMC) brings together professionals responsible for EMS data collection, analysis, quality, and use. Members collaborate to strengthen state EMS data systems, improve data quality and standardization, and advance the use of data to inform EMS system improvement and decision-making.

For state and territorial EMS education leaders.

The Education Council (EdC) connects officials responsible for the oversight and development of state EMS education systems. Members share approaches and expertise related to education standards, curricula, instructors, and competency to strengthen the preparation of the EMS workforce nationwide.

For state and territorial EMS medical directors.

The Medical Directors Council (MDC) brings together physician medical directors who advise State EMS Offices on clinical care and medical oversight. Members exchange clinical expertise, address emerging issues in prehospital care, and provide medical guidance that informs NASEMSO initiatives and national EMS discussions.

For state and territorial leaders in pediatric emergency care.

The Pediatric Emergency Care Council (PEC) connects professionals who lead efforts to improve out-of-hospital emergency care for children within their states and territories. Members share strategies, resources, and expertise to strengthen EMS systems and improve outcomes for pediatric patients.

For state and territorial EMS personnel regulatory leaders.

The Personnel Licensure (PLC) brings together State EMS Office professionals responsible for the regulation and licensure of EMS personnel. Members collaborate on licensing requirements, investigations, disciplinary processes, and emerging regulatory issues to strengthen effective and consistent EMS personnel regulation.

For state and territorial EMS preparedness and response leaders.

The Preparedness and Rresponse Council (PARC) connects officials responsible for integrating EMS into emergency preparedness, response, and recovery. Members share strategies and resources to strengthen EMS participation in all-hazards planning, improve coordination with response partners, and ensure EMS is represented in preparedness initiatives and funding opportunities.

For state and territorial trauma system leaders.

The Trauma Managers Council (TMC) brings together professionals responsible for the development, oversight, and improvement of state trauma systems. Members exchange expertise and promising practices to strengthen trauma systems and improve care and outcomes for people with serious injuries.
