Job Description:
Performs complex technical assistance work and provides consultative services for the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the EMS & Trauma Registries. Monitors, reviews and evaluates data submission to the EMS & Trauma Registries. Draws conclusions from evaluation and review to make recommendations to improve data quality and completeness of registries data. Assists in the development and implementation of improvements to the registries. Provides technical training and support regarding trauma coding: Systemized Nomenclature of Medicine (SNOMED), (Injury Severity Score (ISS), Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS), International Statistical Classification of Diseases Clinical Modification (ICD-10 CM) for employees, contractors, and agency stakeholders. Provides training on web-data entry to trauma centers and the Submersion Registry to Justices of the Peace and Medical Examiners. Assists with addressing complex EMS/Trauma Registries issues with DSHS management, contractors, and stakeholders. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
