jobEMS Prehospital Standards Representative (OR) December 19, 2018The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Public Health Division (PHD), Health Care Regulation and Quality Improvement (HCRQI) Section in Portland, OR is seeking a Prehospital Standards Representative to insure the health and safety of people who use Oregon’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system. HCRQI oversees the EMS and Trauma Systems Program which develops and regulates systems for quality emergency medical care in Oregon. This program ensures that EMS providers are fully trained, that emergency medical vehicles are properly equipped, and emergency medical systems are functioning efficiently and effectively.What will you do As the Prehospital Standards Representative, you will monitor EMS license holders and licensed EMS provider agencies for compliance with the ORS, OARs and other EMS policies and programs. You will implement corrective measures ranging from technical assistance to administrative orders set forth by the Oregon Heath Authority. The Prehospital Standards Representative provides clinical, technical, regulatory and systems education to both internal and external customers. This type of education supports and promotes the provision of safe and professional prehospital care.What’s in it for you? If so, we want to connect with you!MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Five years of experience doing administrative research related to criminal justice, law or a related field that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action, or decide compliance or eligibility with program guidelines and regulations.
