Community Integrated Health Program Coordinator (MT)

EMS and Trauma Systems has an open position for a qualified person to coordinate implementation and development of Montana Community-Integrated Health. With passing of SB38 this legislative session, ECPs and EMS Services are allowed to provide CIH / community paramedicine non-emergency services. This is a new program for Montana and this position will provide technical assistance and resources over the next years to help CIH programs become successful and sustainable. This position is currently grant funded for the next five years and continued funding is possible.

Candidates for this position must be highly-motivated and self-directed. Frequent contacts with other departments such as the Board of Medical Examiners, EMS providers and services, insurers and others will require someone with great people skills. This position is located in our office in Helena and travel is required. Primary role from day one will be to continue technical assistance of six pilot sites which have already begun training.

Other desirable skills include:
o Experience and background in EMS patient delivery – ALS preferred
o Knowledge of community paramedicine / CIH
o Assesses ongoing program activities to identify education and training needs such as new requirements i.e. administrative/law changes, client needs, and revised public health policies.
o Plans and coordinates conferences and presentations to provide education, outreach and networking opportunities.
o Develops and delivers presentations, outreach materials, websites, manuals or other program contents.
o Develops or coordinates program evaluation.
o Responds to inquiries concerning CIH.
o Develops and recommends quality improvement plans to providers.
o Makes recommendations with the development of grant proposals to secure funding in targeted area of need.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills including public speaking.
o Interpersonal and customer services skills.
