2019 Northeast Region Burn Conference

November 10, 2019 – November 11, 2019

Program highlights include William G. Cioffi, MD, FACS, from the Rhode Island Hospital and the President of the American Burn Association to open our meeting with the keynote address titled Surviving Burn Injury: Outcomes other than Mortality.

There are several plenary sessions for all members of the burn team including Training to be a Coach: How the Burn Team Can Make a Difference in Social Reintegration, Pain Management Amidst the Opioid Crisis, Elderly Burns: Do We Stand a Chance? And the ever-popular Pro/Con Debate. The Fire Fighters have chosen a topic to discuss that impacts those involved in the fire service as well as the burn team members titled The Importance of Sleep for Behavioral and Physical Well-Being. There will also be original scientific abstracts as well as breakout sessions to attend. The new Burn Care Quality Program (BCQP) will be described at the end of the conference on Monday by the Dr. Harrington, Dr. Bessy, & the ABA.

There is a Rehabilitation pre-conference offering on Nov. 9 as well as the ABLS Provider Course & the ABLS Instructor Course will be a post conference offering on Nov. 11
