- Background Information on Florida Sterling: This is my third year on the Board of Sterling Examiners who evaluate quality improvement/performance excellence systems of public and private organizations (hospitals, schools, businesses, etc…) against 7 criteria items (leadership, strategic planning, customer and market focus; measurement, analysis, and knowledge management; workforce focus, process management, and results). Some of the organizations apply for the Governor’s Sterling Award and Examiners score these applicants based on independent reviews and team site reviews.
