Overview
The purpose of the Highway Incident and Transportation Systems (HITS) Committee is to:
- Engage NASEMSO on highway safety issues relevant to EMS
- Collaborate with highway safety partners to promote their understanding of EMS and to identify opportunities for cooperative efforts to reduce injuries and save lives
- Provide input to NASEMSO Executive Committee on highway safety concerns

The HITS Committee generally meets by teleconference every other month (the second Wednesday of even-numbered months) at 3:00 PM Eastern time. The Committee also meets in person twice a year at the NASEMSO Annual and Mid-Year Meetings.- Dec. 12, 2012
